This incredible piece is one of my favorites I’ve made. All aspects of it were hand cut using different types of wood so no coloring has been done beyond staining the plywood to create the sky. This mosaic is especially unique because the petals are all made from Alaskan Yellow Cedar that came from a dock off the west shore of Lake Tahoe, I even included pieces with nail and screw holes from its original use to add character to it.
The center of each sunflower is made from burned and brushed Doug fir and the leaves and stem are made from Poplar.
This piece measures 32” x 21” and is ready to hang.
