This incredible piece was based off a similar mosaic in a different size. The design was inspired by a combination of the Wide Range, using a variety of exotic woods to create the mountain range and the East shore boulders of Lake Tahoe. We used our signature burn and brushing technique to create the unique water element. We hand cut the Beetlekill Pine boulders in, which has the grey coloring naturally that perfectly matches the granite rocks of Lake Tahoe.
Over 14 different types of wood were used to create this amazing mosaic.
